Welcome to Pleasant Mountain Camping Area and Birch Point Cottages
Pleasant Mountain Camping Area is a family friendly quiet campground located in Denmark, Maine on Moose Pond at the base of Pleasant Mountain.
Reservations are required by phone or email . If you have a trailer and are camping , you must use your own bathroom. (We no longer accommodate large groups). We now offer payment through Venmo . A deposit is due for your first night. Please call 4 days ahead with a cancellation. Thank you.
We begin accepting reservations for the 2023 Season after April 18 th During the season the best way to make a reservation is by phone.
The Campground offers an array of activities to choose from- swimming, boating - hiking the many trails of Pleasant Mountain and the area offers a variety of hiking trails. We rent canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. The Campground has its own sandy beach. a small playground ,which includes a basketball hoop, swing and sandbox. We have a picnic shelter by the lake. There is a laundromat and Library on the premises. In addition we also rent dock space. (Jet Skis and Wake Boats are not allowed).
Firewood available for sale (cut and split on premise). No out of state firewood allowed in Maine.
We are conveniently located by several great Golf Courses in Lovell, Bridgton and Naples and also we are located only a half hour from North Conway N.H. Also close to some wonderful hiking trails and not too far a drive from the White Mt. National Forest.
Our wooded sites come with water, sewer, and electric @ $39 $ per night . 42$ for waterfront sites for tents. 44$ for tent trailers and 50$ for trailers with a discount added if you stay a week or more.
Our campground was built in the early 60s so we only have a few sites that would accommadate a 30' and under. We consider ourselves dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly and good around other dogs and people. We have a7$ per night dog fee and require picking up after them. They are not allowed on the public beach. No 2nd dogs please. We accept donations to our local animal shelter, Harvest Hills as well. ( a no kill shelter)
